- Studies measuring CI build success rates that show high failure rates in many projects.
- Evidence of 'CI rot' — CI configurations that were set up but never maintained.
- Data on the percentage of repositories with CI files where CI has not been triggered in months.
Eliminating Evidence Would Show¶
- Studies showing that the vast majority of CI configurations found in repositories are actively running and producing results.
- Evidence that CI file presence correlates strongly with active CI usage.
