CASP provides checklists for: Systematic Reviews, RCTs, Cohort Studies, Case Control Studies, Economic Evaluations, Diagnostic Studies, Qualitative studies, and Cross-Sectional Studies. Each checklist includes structured questions about study validity, results, and applicability.

Novelty assessment: CASP checklists operationalize the same concepts as Cochrane RoB 2 and ROBIS — structured bias assessment for specific study designs. The checklist format (prompt questions) differs from Cochrane's domain-based ratings, but the underlying concepts are identical.
