Goldman Sachs' first open source contribution was GS Collections, released in January 2012 (now Eclipse Collections within the Eclipse Foundation). Goldman Sachs later open-sourced Legend, its data modeling platform, through FINOS in 2020. In April 2019, Goldman Sachs announced plans to open-source some of its trading software.
