On April 24, 2018, the Symphony Software Foundation announced its relaunch as FINOS (Fintech Open Source Foundation). FINOS is part of the Linux Foundation. Premier members include Citi, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley. FINOS evolved from the Symphony Software Foundation, which was set up by banks around Goldman Sachs' donated chat platform code.
